Terms & Conditions
1 Arrival & Departure
Rental periods are from Friday to Friday for weekly bookings, commencing
at 3pm on the first day and ending at 10am on the departure day. Short breaks
may be available from October to March by prior arrangement.
The owner shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before
the time stated and the client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated.
2 Rental, Bookings and Payment
To secure a booking the client must complete and sign the booking
form and return it together with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit (50% of the total rent due). Following receipt of the deposit the owners will send confirmation as formal acceptance of the booking. Bookings made within eight weeks of the start of the rental period require the total
rental sum to be paid in full upon booking.
The full rental balance is payable not less than eight weeks prior
to the start of the rental period.
If payment is not received by the due date, the owner reserves the
right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The client
will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the owner is able to re-let the cottage.
In case you cancel your booking the owners reserve the right to
retain the rental paid and we shall under all circumstances be entitled to re-rent the property.
Cancellation protection insurance is recommended along with full
cover for the party’s belongings, public liability etc as these are not covered in the Owners insurance.
Following booking in the unlikely event of your cottage becoming
unavailable due to circumstances outside our control, every effort will be made to provide alternative accommodation or alternatively
a complete refund will be paid including the deposit.
3 Your Stay General
The number of persons occupying the cottage must not exceed that
stated at the time of booking unless prior permission is agreed.
The client agrees to be a considerate tenant, take good care of
the property and leave it clean and tidy at the end of the rental period, although a final clean is included in the price.
The client shall not act in a way that would cause a disturbance
to those resident in neighbouring properties.
The owners reserve the right to have access to the cottage at all
reasonable times, with prior notice when possible.
All damage must be reported to the owners as soon as possible. Accidental damage or breakage of a minor nature will not normally be charged for,
however the owners reserve the right to charge for any non trivial damage howsoever caused.
4 Liability
The owners shall not be liable to the client:
For any loss, damage or injury that is the result of adverse weather
conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the owners.
For any loss or damage to clients’ property, or for personal
injury, or damage to cars or horse boxes/trailers parked at clients own risk.
Under no circumstances shall the owners liability to the client
exceed the amount paid to the owners for the rental period.
5 Horses & Stabling
Stabling and storage of your horses/ponies, tack, equipment and
vehicles are entirely at your own risk and remain your responsibility throughout your stay.
Any damage to our stables, premises or property by your horses/ponies will be chargeable. Netherton Hall and its owners accept no responsibility for any damage caused to your horses/ponies to anyone
or anything either on or off Netherton property.
Your horses/ponies must be fully insured against any damage they
may cause, this insurance must include public liability. Each horse/pony must
have a fully passport and it is advised that they be vaccinated against flu and tetanus. They should be in good health and
be wormed prior to arrival.
Arrival and departure times are the same as for the cottage. Payment for stabling is also the same as for the cottage.
